Important Updates for cove Members

As local reopening plans unfold in DC and Boston, we on the cove team are carefully considering the timing and manner in which we reopen our neighborhood workspaces. In the first phase of these reopening plans (see DC Phase One and Boston Phases) indoor seating and services are not allowed for retail businesses, restaurants, and cafes. In keeping this guidance, while we hope to reopen in Phase 2 of these reopening plans, we will continue to keep all neighborhood locations closed in order to keep our communities safe.

In the meantime — at cove, our mission is to support your ability to get things done, regardless of where you are. As you continue to work from home, we're well positioned and ready to continue supporting you. While we look forward to reopening our locations, to support you and the work that you do, we are excited to offer cove@Home — services included in your existing membership that will ensure you can maintain the workspace, perks, and strong sense of community that help you stay productive. Extended closure

We are tracking guidance from local and national authorities, including DC and Massachusetts-wide restrictions on indoor services and seating in retail businesses and restaurants. We will continue to reassess the situation in our city, as we look forward to reopening as soon as safely possible.


Although we are closed, we are working to deliver the cove experience directly to your home. cove@Home will be included in your existing cove membership for as long as locations are closed and will include:

  • Monthly Perk Package: a fully stocked and customizable monthly care package, with coffee/tea, snacks, and wellness items, delivered directly to your home. We know you already have a lot on your plate, making sure you have the essentials in place. Let us take care of the productive perks you need to keep you going.
  • Home Office Recommendations: We know a thing or two about what you need to stay productive. We will help you fill in the gaps in your home office setup, according to your budget, recommending everything from standing desks to ergonomic keyboards and noise cancelling headphones, to ensure you have a productive environment for getting things done.
  • Staying Connected: The cove@Home portal will bring our community together, at a time when we are all more isolated — happy hours and community events over video calls and a cove-wide Slack community where you can get help and advice.

When will you reopen?

We will continue to track local and national guidance and hope to reopen during Phase 2 of the reopening plans we are seeing in DC and Boston. When we do reopen, we will ensure all locations have been thoroughly sanitized and will institute additional measures to prevent transmission, like removing shared mugs and cutlery, replacing bulk snacks, and spacing seats to promote social distancing.

What if I want to cancel or pause my membership for a longer period of time?

We understand — simply reach out. We will not charge any cancellation fees at this time. If you would like to push your renewal date to a later date, we can push it back to a date that works for you.
